Hey YouTube viewers, have you been thinking for a while about starting a YouTube channel? Do you want to get YouTube views and YouTube subscribers, but don't know how to start a YouTube channel? If so, then read on. This guide is going to show you what YouTube is all about and show you how to get tons of YouTube subscribers in no time.
In 2022 the leading social media channels are all video channels. No one wants to see someone's status updates anymore - people would rather watch a quick video that tells it like it is, or shows them something cool they can look forward to watching later at night when they go home from work or school.
It was only a matter of time until this happened; after all, modern TVs are now flat screens with video capabilities built inside, so now YouTube is taking over as the primary social media platform.
In 2020 YouTube was bought by Google for $1.65 billion because it had become so popular online. Since YouTube's videos would respond to users' search queries on Google, YouTube became known as the top of the line information source for web surfers looking to find out more about their favorite TV shows, new movies coming out in theaters,
or just what kind of computer they should buy that day based on customer reviews and YouTube videos showing each feature of every product. Users can watch YouTube videos at any time of day and night through their smartphones while they're waiting in line at the store or during break times at work.
This guide is meant to help YouTube channel owners get YouTube views and YouTube subscribers, so they can become YouTube celebrities in 2022. To start a YouTube channel, you'll need to make an account with YouTube by following these instructions:
- Click on your Google account > Click YouTube icon > Click 'Create Channel' button
After making your YouTube channel, you're ready to upload videos! Here's how:
Step 1: choose the video you want to upload. There are two ways you can do this: A) record it yourself or B) upload one that someone else has recorded. If you record it yourself, press 'capture' when recording something with your webcam.
The screen becomes like a blank piece of paper when not recording anything. YouTube automatically records everything going on in front of your webcam. YouTube recommends using a tripod to avoid having shaky footage. If you're not good at recording yourself, YouTube has tools that can help improve the quality of your videos, such as YouTube Creator Studio and YouTube Video Editor.
If you want to upload a video someone else made, just go to YouTube and search for the name of the person who made it plus and their YouTube channel will come up right away if they have one! Then click on their channel's name and select the video you want from there.
YouTube hosts all kinds of videos - cartoons, movies, music videos - anything people want to watch over and over again whenever they feel like it.
Step 2: give your YouTube video a title. YouTube videos need to have titles just like blog posts. YouTube recommends that you write about what the video is showing - for example, if it's a music video of your favorite band then it should be called 'My Band #1' or something along those lines.
YouTube also suggests giving your YouTube video descriptions so people can know what's happening in the video and who made it.
Step 3: choose the privacy settings. YouTube recommends you set this to Public so everyone can see your YouTube videos whenever they want - but if you don't want visitors seeing them right away, you always have the option of making it private with a password only friends and family members will know, or unlisted which means they'll be able to see the YouTube video but only people with the link will be able to find it.
YouTube also makes other kinds of YouTube videos that are limited to certain users, for example, if you want to have a YouTube video just for your family so they can watch without being embarrassed by seeing something meant for public viewing.
Step 4: enter your YouTube account's email address. This is very important because YouTube uses this email address for sending YouTube notifications later on - any changes you make to your YouTube channel, comment someone leaves on one of your videos, etcetera. Make sure you put in an email address that you check regularly!
Step 5: name your YouTube channel. Your username makes up part of your URL (your youtube channel's web page address). YouTube has a lot of YouTube channels that have popular YouTube videos just like yours,
so having the same YouTube channel name as other popular YouTube channels puts you in competition with them. YouTube recommends you give your YouTube name a unique concept or idea behind it - for example, if your YouTube channel is about singing Pokemon songs, your YouTube channel's username could be 'PokemonSingingChannel'.
Naming a YouTube video is easier - simply put whatever you want to call it as the title! However, if you're uploading someone else's YouTube video then make sure not to change their title or they might get angry and report your YouTube account.
Now that your first YouTube video is done uploading onto your new channel, you can test out what YouTube looks like for yourself! YouTube has fun YouTube features that other
YouTube channels can use, such as YouTube annotations to make it fancy or YouTube cards to make YouTube videos interactive. YouTube also has a list of all the YouTube stuff you can put at the top of your YouTube videos - titles, subtitles, animated title cards, etcetera.
There are lots of things to keep in mind when making YouTube videos. You have to be careful with copyright rules and regulations - if you aren't using original content then you need permission from whoever created the video before recording it or uploading it onto your own YouTube channel.
If you're uploading someone else's video but want them taken down later on then this is called 'claiming' their video and doing so will automatically send a YouTube notification to them and YouTube will remove their YouTube video off of YouTube. Finally, YouTube also has some more tips that they give for making YouTube videos that are interesting and not boring!
Step 6: add annotations. Yes, you can add YouTube annotations on your YouTube channel even though you haven't made any YouTube videos yet! This is part of the 'fun' YouTube features mentioned before - using YouTube annotations lets you include things like titles, text boxes,
or links in your own way so people watching your YouTube channel's video can learn more about whatever you're portraying in the video. There are several kinds of annotations and each one does something different:
- End screen: this annotation appears while your YouTube video is still playing and gives YouTube viewers a YouTube link to click on, as well as the YouTube video that they're currently watching. YouTube recommends putting your YouTube channel's name here so users can find you!
- Cards: these YouTube annotations are big and take up the entire bottom third of your YouTube video, it also contains metadata about whatever is in your card; for example, if your YouTube video is about spiderman then you can include his name. Your audience can learn even more by clicking on the YouTube cards.
- Links: this annotation adds a separate YouTube page to appear when people watch or click on something in one of your videos. This is very useful if there's anything within the context of your YouTube video you want to make sure people know about.
- End screen, cards, links: YouTube annotations are simply YouTube things you can add to YouTube videos. YouTube also has a YouTube video explaining more about YouTube annotations if you want to learn even more about them!
Step 7: get involved with the YouTube community! YouTube is filled with so many other YouTube channels that there's always something new and interesting for people to see or take part in. You'll eventually get bored of watching your own YouTube videos so why not check out other popular YouTube channels?
There are plenty of websites where you can find cool YouTube channels - these places include but aren't limited to TubeChop, Reddit's /r/videos subreddit, or even just Google! If you're uploading someone else's video then YouTube recommends putting a YouTube link to the YouTube channel that originally uploaded it so YouTube users have a place to start from.
YouTube is constantly growing and expanding, with millions of new YouTube channels uploading videos every day! There's also plenty of ways to get in contact with other Youtubers - you can comment on their YouTube video or even send them an email if they're a part of YouTube's Partner Program (which means they could make money off of YouTube).
Step 8: promote your YouTube channel! You wouldn't want people watching your YouTube videos only once would you? So don't forget to click share on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etcetera.
